E' una giornata di Luglio, la prima. Caronte non dà pace, l'estate avanza, c'è il sole, eppure è una giornata triste. Tramite un tweet Christopher Owens, principale songwriter della band Girls, ha annunciato che lascerà il gruppo.
I Girls sono stati una delle band più apprezzate dalla critica, dai fan e dal sottoscritto degli ultimi anni. Si sciolgono dopo due album e un ep: l'amatissimo esordio Album del 2009, Broken Dreams Club Ep del 2010 e Father, Son, Holy Ghost dello scorso anno.
"Dear all, This may come as a surprise to many & has been an issue of much thought for me. My decision was not easy to make: I am leaving Girls. My reasons at this time are personal. I need to do this in order to progress. I will continue to write & record music. More will be announced soon. I thank you all for everything.
